​Our brand represents our own roots and life stories, from being born and raised within the boundaries of a beautiful mountain range as is the Avila, which is inserted in an awesome but troublesome country like Venezuela. With tons of work, dedication, vision and ambition, we made it to become successful professionals and entrepreneurs. We took different paths in our lives, but we have always looked for the north, the top! And this is why we came together.

We gave up our comfort zones and dared to step forward. With few suitcases and many dreams, we came to our new home determined to start a brand new business, knowing that our experience over the years of transformation and growth would count to make a difference.

AVVILA is a young startup consulting firm that comes loaded with years of tremendous business experience from its founding partners, that saw in the market an unfulfilled need from individuals to be advised about their business ideas and business issues, irrespective of company size.

We listen to the small as well as the big business ideas …. Because, who determines their size? What matters is that we walk together to find out the feasibility and success factors of your business.

  • I am originally from Venezuela where I graduated as an economist twenty five years ago and started a career in strategy consulting
  • After a M.B.A. in New York University, I moved to Brazil and worked for top global consulting firms: Booz & Co., Accenture, Roland Berger and PwC
  • I focused on strategy design and execution projects for local and global corporate clients in the financial services industry, retail and consumer goods
  • I worked closely with industry associations and regulators to develop industry wide development strategies
  • At some point in my career I went from consulting to banking – I helped to implement the Wealth Management business model of a major Brazilian bank that became an industry benchmark and worked as the C-level Strategic Planner of the Corporate, Investment and Wealth Management units
  • After so many projects, my entrepreneurship vein came afloat – I created a technology concept store that launched the consumer technology services market and became a reference in Brazil
  • But consulting called me back! I joined PwC to contribute with the development of the strategy practice in Brazil
  • After almost 20 years in Brazil I decided to try new ventures in USA and to pursue better business opportunities. I am ready to offer my experience to business owners in the country of opportunities. I am inspired to deliver my vision of a new, forward looking way of providing consulting services to business owners
  • I combine a strong entrepreneurial vision and spirit with a recognized capacity to lead and motivate stakeholders to undertake and execute value creation strategies
  • I’m a risk taker, I push the limits, and I’m a firm believer that evolving change is what keep us alive
  • I consider myself a global citizen, given the diverse nature of my close friends and countries that I have worked and lived
  • I speak fluently four languages and have two beautiful Brazilian kids

ACHIRANA

  • I am Venezuelan by birth and in love with the Avila Mountain. Now resident of this wonderful country, United States.
  • I have a degree in International Studies at the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
  • I entered through competition to the diplomatic career to work at the Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Ministry as Third Secretary.
  • For more than fifteen years I developed a career in the diplomatic world, achieving positions abroad in countries like France and Italy; those were highly enriching experiences and great for my professional and human growth.
  • In France I was in charge of the Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy. While being there, I managed to make a Specialization in Political Sciences at Pantheon Assas, La Sorbonne. Besides the deep dive in the analysis of the government affairs in Europe, I was immerse in a multicultural environment sharing with students from many different countries.
  • In Italy, I participated in different matters at the Venezuelan Embassy, from FAO (Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations) to bilateral issues.
  • When I returned to my country, I served at the Borders Office.
  • The diversity of occupational fields to which I have devoted myself during my career has allowed me to develop a multidisciplinary approach with a marked tendency for trade relations, businesses and individuals.
  • Having the world of diplomacy in my back, I decided to establish AVVILA with my partners and take the path of entrepreneurship.
  • I am a certified Real Estate Agent in the state of Florida.
  • I love new ideas. When creativity takes hold of me, I must seize it and just create. I love crafts, harmony, outdoor activities and travelling.
  • My mother tongue is Spanish. and I also speak fluently English and French. I adventure with the Italian sometimes.

HUMBERTO
ALTUVE

  • Venezuelan, born in the state of Merida. Married, two daughters, two granddaughters and two women business partners ... My life is surrounded by beautiful women!
  • An early starter in the Civil Engineering profession, I had a great experience working as an assistant for the Inter-american Center for the Integral Development of Water and Land - CIDIAT, that was part of the O.E.A., in conjunction with Universidad de Los Andes, my alma mater. During such an investigative project, we compiled valuable information regarding hydrological and hydraulic studies that contributed with the development of the hydrographic cartography of Venezuela.
  • After graduation, I moved to Caracas and started working for the "Banco Obrero", which was an entity specialized in helping middle class people to capitalize their savings and obtain low interest loans to build their homes. Right after joining the institution I was given the responsibility to develop a project for building a new city to decentralize the capital, Losada City, a project similar to the Volkswagen city in Germany. This city would congregate in the same location the industries, homes, educational areas, recreational land and communication ways to connect it with the capital city and other central states in the country. Unfortunately, new government didn't allow the continuity of the extraordinary development project.
  • In a few time I could foresee what I wanted to be for the rest of my life, my own boss!!
  • That's how in the early 80's, I founded my own construction and development company which focused on building residential state, buildings and medium to large size infrastructural projects on a continuing basis
  • The last project that I executed in Venezuela before taking the decision to move to the United States, was the architectural design and construction of the Simon Bolivar University -  Litoral Center. With this majestic project I practically enclose operations in my home country.
  • Today I am an investor. I have kept my entrepreneurial spirit in the real estate business and assessing business owners in conjunction with my two fellow partners.

Has coordinated a number of projects in diverse industries that include oil & gas, wholesale distribution, hospitality, industrial manufacturing and more recently food franchising.

Performed the strategic planning and business development function at large multinational corporations specific to Latin American markets.

Adds strong data analysis, financial modeling and technological skills to provide business insights, scenario analysis and forecasts.
